We want our God, our religion to be respected. Ideally, that if one cannot respect our God and religion, at least stay quiet about it and let us be. If only all people have the same standard of decency!

Unfortunately, that is not the way the world works nowadays. Having the free will, people can choose even to mock God. When that happens, what would I feel? Of course, I am hurt when someone mocks a person whom I love, whom has been so good to me again and again. That question is easy to answer.

The more difficult question is: what should I do? What should we do as followers of God, when our God, our religion is being made fun of? We can’t stay quiet for sure! But is it our duty to be the angel of death to the perpetrators? Who has assigned us to that position anyway?

We saw in the news where people are getting sensitive when their holy figure are desecrated, and rightly so. But should you be willing to kill for it? If following a religion made us to act like an ass toward others, or worse, becoming messengers of death, maybe we should question our understanding!

In trying to defend their “religion” by killing others, the perpetrators only brought more question and negative lights to their religion in general! In trying to exalt our religion by bashing others, we only made people become further from God and more antipathetic toward Christianity! Is it the fruit that we want.

True love is a love that has been tested. Jesus our Savior has endured mockery, torture, crucifixion, and death, for His Love for the sinners: us. Now, it is our turn. Can we endure mockery and still love? Can we prove, that God is really a God of Justice and also a God of Love, that his brand of Justice is really not ours. His brand of Justice is saving even more sinners! Can we be messengers of that brand of Justice? I really would like to work towards that. How to respond in a way that will save even more sinners (including myself!)
